39 Pastors of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Igboland Territory have been ordained as Apostles of the Church at Amumara, with a caution on them to avoid consulting evil alters to perform wonders.
The advice was given by Apostle Eberechukwu Igwe, the Territorial Chairman of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Igboland Territory during his sermon at the end of Territorial Youth Convention of the church.
He admonished the newly ordained Apostles to always submit themselves to God for Him to use them in their apostolic works as God operates in holy place.
The Territorial Chairman stressed the need for youths to allow the holy spirit to use them in enlarging the kingdom of God, adding that today ‘s church is facing greater challenges than the church of previous times.
He noted that saying human population is multiplying which also entails that the gospel should also multiply.
He charged them to make holiness, faithfulness and truth the watchword as they serve the Lord and cautioned them against seeking evil powers from occultic alters to impress the world but to operate with genuine powers from the holy spirit.
The Territorial Chairman further harped on the need for men of God to be upright and careful in their services to God.
In their reactions, some of the newly ordained Apostles, including Apostles Godwin Onyekachi Martins, Timothy Onuchukwu among others, affirmed their unrestrained commitment to upholding the gospel and tenet of The Apostolic Church Nigeria.
