First female presidential aspirant come 2023 general election, Bishop Dr. Ify George Oforkansi has said that Nigerian’s only saviour will be a transformational leader who can be able to tackle the maladies bedeviling the country.
Dr Offorkansi disclosed this during the courtesy call with the National Forum for South East President (NFESP) held at Umuahia during the weekend on the need to deliberate on strategies for the actualization of an Igbo presidency from a southeast Igbo extraction.
The Penticostal fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop, stated that her agenda was that of a transformational agenda which will give birth to a new Nigeria.
She noted that a ‘Nine Point Agenda’ which include education, reforming the electricity sector, boosting national raw materials, tackling of insecurity, improved and mechanised agriculture, among others have been mapped out for Nigeria.
Speaking, National President of NFSEP, Dr. Patrick Enuneke noted that for the agitation of a southeasterner to be the next president of Nigeria is of paramount important because of equity and fairness.
Enuneke added that the missionary aim was to support a creditable candidate who is of Igbo extraction irrespective of political party difference or affiliation.
National Organising Secretary NFESP, Nworgu Patrick Obinna Elder, equally affirmed of the group’s support through campaigns in social institutions in order to ensure victory at the polls.
