Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has attributed circumstances that led to the disbandment of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) as propaganda initiated by hoodlums and promoted through the social media.
The governor made his feelings known in two separate speeches; at the Sam Mbakwe Expanded Executive Chambers of Imo State Government House and the state Police Command headquarters, Owerri.
He said he was one of the Nigerians who felt bad about the decision of the federal government to ban SARS as a result of the EndSARS protests.
He said armed robbers and kidnappers were on the verge of overunning Imo State before SARS came and flushed them, saying that SARS personnel are the only ones who matches daredevil criminals fire for fire.
