The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono ltam have called on the one hundred and ten newly Promoted Police Officers to take charge of their new office in the service to the nation.
CP Itam who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fidelis Ogarabe, made this known during the promotion of 110 Officers of the command at Police Command Headquarters, Amawbia, Anambra state.
Among those decorated were 20 Superintendents of Police, who were promoted to Chief Superintendents of Police, 24 Deputy Superintendents of Police, promoted to Superintendents of Police, and 66 Assistant Superintendents of Police, who were promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police.
In his speech, the Commissioner of Police, Nnaghe Obono ltam, charged the newly promoted officers to live above the ranks and use the new officer to service humanity in thier best capacity and not for selfish gains.
The CP noted that the promotion was signed by the Police Service Commission, and urged those who were not promoted yet to wait for God’s appointed time.
In his vote of thanks, the Deputy Police Officer in-charge of Neni Division, CSP Andy Jokpeyibo, thanked everyone that graced the occasion, especially the Commissioner, adding that by the grace of God, the newly promoted officers will discharge thier duties efficiently.
Some of the officers who spoke to out correspondent shortly after the decoration also promised to abide by the tenancy of Police laws and regulations.
