This woman simply identified as Esther, has been nabbed Kingdoms ‘Embassy international Church in Umuahia after stealing money and mobile phones in four different churches. Esther, who appears innocent and godly, was apprehended at a Pentecostal church in Umuokpara, Umuahia South LGA of Abia State where she had as usual, gone to steal people’s phobes and money. Before her arrest, she had had stolen a phone at Maria Asumpta Catholic parish at Umuokpara and also stole wallet of cash at a pentecostal church at Library avenue.
But luck ran out on Esther as she again ‘attended’ a church service at another church in Umuokpara but unfortunately for her, someone who knew her raised alarm and exposed her. She was instantly nabbed by the church members who told her disclose her mission in the church. “She started confessing that she was there to try her luck in picking a phone or money, as she usually did in other church. “She begged us to spare her life, promising to turn new leaf if allowed to go”, said a member of the church, Frank Ike. According to Ike, the thief also confessed how she was selling off stolen phones at cheaper prices to a willing buyer, adding that the thieve also claimed that a spirit of stealing was possessing her.
