The Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) has given illegal traders at Isi gate area of Umuahia to quit the place and relocate to government approved markets before December 1, 2023.
Also directed to quit before December 1, are traders and artisans operating at Corporative and Uzuakoli road parts of Umuahia.
The General of UCDA, Mr Kingsley Agomuo who gave the warning in a press release he signed, said the Abia State government had observed the illegal commercial activities going on in the affected areas, for many years.
The UCDA boss therefore ordered the affected persons to relocate from their present places of business and enter approved places.
Agomuo, who also frowned at activities illegal motor parks and loaders in Isi gate and close by, and directed them to go into government approved motor parks to continue their businesses.
Apart from these, the Umuahia Capital Development Authority directed landlords won build or added sone attachments at the affected places , to immediately pull them down before December 1.
It warned that any failure by the concerned traders, transporters and landlords to obey the directive in their own interest.
